Cornet-AM is a part of Comstar-UTS companies group 

“Cornet-AM” CJSC has been founded in Armenian telecommunication market in 2000.

In 2006, “Cornet-AM” CJSC became the member of “Comstar-United Telesystems” Company Group, which is the largest operator, providing a full spectrum of telecommunication services in Russia and the CIS states. The main shareholder of the Company is “Sistema” SFC.

The customers of the company are representatives of various spheres of economy, public and governmental structures, major companies, as well as individuals.

“Cornet-AM” CJSC offers various types of Internet access, as well as a wide range of additional services in telecommunication field.

1.Internet access using WiMax technology

In 2006, “Cornet-AM” CJSC first imported in Armenia and implemented Wimax wireless broadband Internet technology, which coverage extends the area of whole republic. WiMax network, provided by “Cornet-AM” CJSC, has the following advantages:

- Coverage in Yerevan and 18 largest towns of the country (Gyumri, Vanadzor, Abovyan, Ashtarak, Artashat, Etchmiadzin, Armavir, Goris, Kapan, Spitak, Alaverdi, Stepanavan, Ijevan, Dilijan, Sevan, Gavar, Charentsavan and Hrazdan), within the radius up to 30 km of adjacent regions;
- Speed of data transfer inside the network makes 27 megabit per second;
- High quality of connection even in conditions of bad visibility secures access opportunity practically in the whole territory of the country;
- Correspondence of 802.16 protocol to the specially defined frequency of 3.6-3.8 GHz secures maximum reliability and protection of the system;
- WiMax technology stand out by the flexibility of the network architecture, which allows promptly connecting to the network;
